Management

Civionics is led by an experienced management team:

Gerry Roston — Chief Executive Officer

Gerry has held executive management positions with six startups; senior engineering management positions with NYSE:GE and NASDAQ:ASEI; and has decades of experience leading interdisciplinary product development teams. For the past decade, Gerry has worked exclusively with early-stage technology businesses, helping them manage business operations; developing business and technology plans; raising funds (non-dilutive and equity); and finding potential customers, partners, and investors. In addition to his role with Civionics, Gerry serves as an Executive-in-Residence at TechTown Detroit.

Andy Zimmerman — Chief Technology Officer

Andy has been the driving force behind Civionics since its founding. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the company over the past four years, he has also been the chief architect of Civionics' intelligent wireless sensing and embedded data processing systems and has served as the principal investigator on numerous federally funded R&D grants and contracts. He currently manages our technical team out of our Colorado Springs office. Andy holds advanced degrees in both Civil & Environmental Engineering (MS + PhD) and Computer Science & Engineering (MS) from the University of Michigan.

Jerry Lynch — Chief Science Officer

Jerry is a globally recognized thought leader in the field of wireless sensing technology for structural health monitoring. In addition to his role as CSO for Civionics, he is a tenured faculty member at the University of Michigan with joint appointments to the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Jerry received his MS and PhD degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering and MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Jerry has published extensively and was recognized by his peers as the 2009 Structural Health Monitoring Man of the Year. He was also awarded the 2009 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers by the President of the United States for his pioneering work in autonomous wireless sensor networks.

The team is currently seeking a person with strong business development skills to take on the role of VP Sales & Marketing.
